HISTORY OF THE STAND
FROM HUMBLE LOAVES OF BANANA BREAD TO LOCAL MARKETPLACE
In 2006, seven years after our farm was originally purchased, one of our founders decided to start baking banana bread in his toaster oven. He put them out to sell on the Hana Highway roadside and was pleasantly surprised to find them selling out, day after day.
Soon after, the business started to grow, transforming into a pop-up tent selling lemonade and different types of banana bread. Our founders were able to hire employees, make bread, and run the stand.
From there, the stand continued to grow, and our founders were able to realize their dream of supporting the community by providing an opportunity for local entrepreneurs to vend their products. Now, our local marketplace is a well-known stop on the road to Hana, and we happily host products from over 15 local suppliers.
