Our resident bakers are always getting creative in the bakery, handcrafting goods and desserts that often incorporate harvest fruits. Whether it be our classic banana bread or rich coconut macaroons, these goodies are sure to satisfy your sweet tooth!
The baked good that began it all! Best-selling and award-winning, our banana bread is made with farm-fresh Apple bananas, along with a mixture of locally-sourced Williams and Cavendish bananas. Our bakers craft four scrumptious kinds of banana bread—Original, Macadamia Nut, Pineapple, and Chocolate Chip. Try a slice of this bread toasted with our Hana Farms Banana Butter—each bite will leave you wanting more!

Our giant handmade cookies emit a gravitational pull on people with a sweet tooth. Made with decadent chocolate chips and Hawaiian Island macadamia nuts, these cookies are sure to be a family favorite.

Our head baker's favorite! If you love coconut, you will love this gluten-free, tropical dessert. We also make a vegan variation: “Jenna’s Macaroon Cookie.”
Our bakery also makes muffins—such as blueberry, or cranberry orange muffins with oatmeal crumble.
Try one of our hand-pies with meat-fillings, wrapped in a buttery pie crust. The savory varieties include slow-roasted pork shoulder with our Coconut Curry Hot Sauce, or ham with house-made Alfredo sauce and farm-grown Hawaiian chili peppers. Hand-pies with sweet fillings include cacao custard or coconut custard.

COCONUT CREAM PIE
What’s a bakery without fresh baked bread!
When Hāna Farms opened their restaurant the bakery began to make homemade brioche items including sandwich and slider rolls, hamburger buns, and other specialty bread. The pizza dough used for the restaurant’s wood-fired pizza oven is also prepared in the bakery. In fact, the dough recipe took two-months to test and develop.
Our bakery makes fresh, handmade bagels and sourdough loaves available at the stand, too!

ABOUT THE BAKERY
From our staple banana bread came a significant extension of the farm—the bakery! Paul, one of Hāna Farms’ founders, began baking banana bread out of a small toaster oven in 2005. He made small batches daily and sold them on the road to Hāna. An official bakery was implemented as the business grew. Today, the Hāna Farms bakery is one of very few located in East Maui.
Our bakery’s philosophy: Seek out the best-quality ingredients, using locally grown when possible. Every item prepared in the bakery is from scratch. We do not use anything packaged or pre-made. While we cater to tourists from around the world, preparing local specialties is also something we enjoy doing.
Meet the Bakers
Ricco comes to us from New Hampshire where he has had a lifelong obsession with baking. Standing at the side of his Nanna as a child, he learned the concept of from-scratch baking. Arriving in Maui in 2018, he convinced the Hāna Farms owners to begin operating a full-scale bakery when, at that point, only banana bread and jungle bars were available.
Adding to the rich history already established by our banana bread, Ricco began to make and sell the items you see today at the roadside stand. Including but not limited to: cookies, hand pies, cheesecakes, bars, brownies, bread pudding, cupcakes, cream pies, macaroons, muffins, bagels, and doughnuts.
Ricco frequently collaborates with and seeks advice from local “Aunties.” Some things you can’t just get from a recipe or cookbook! If you want true Aloha, Ricco believes you need to seek out those that have been baking from their hearts for generations. Quality, from-scratch baking, local ingredients, and the knowledge gained from local Auntie collaboration, are the components that make our bakery special.
